December 2024
A Message from Kate
It was fantastic to see so many members braving the dreadful weather to attend our Annual Meeting. It was great to hear about all the activities available in our WI. I would like to thank everybody who contributed to and collated the reports, especially Deborah and Karen, and also a big thank you to Sally, Linda and Ann for leading the craft activity. Lots of beautiful angels were taken home that night. I would also like to thank you for re-electing me as your President for another year and for re-electing the committee, who work so hard on your behalf. We will do our best to make sure we have another fantastic WI year.
Last Wednesday 25 of us had a lovely meal at Avanti-great food and company and I would like to thank Perveen and Sue W. for organising it.
The December meeting is our Christmas Party where the aim is to have fun and to get into the Christmas spirit. The choir will be entertaining us and they will be accompanied by a string quartet. As well as the usual mince pies there will be some ‘nibbles’ available. There will also be a game to play as well as the special Christmas raffle and the competition which is a simple hanging decoration. I look forward to seeing you there.
I would like to wish you and your families all the best for the festive season and a happy and healthy 2025.
Best wishes
Kate

IMPORTANT NOTICE-Register and Evacuation Procedure-It is important that you sign in BEFORE finding a seat at the beginning of the meeting. This is for your safety as, if we have missed adding you to the register and we have to evacuate the building, we will not have an accurate record of who is in attendance. This also applies if you arrive late or leave the meeting early. Please let Linda McD. know or Sally in Linda’s absence. Our evacuation meeting point is on the field opposite the car park entrance.
