January 2025
A Message from Kate
Happy New Year to you all, I hope you all had a good festive season and are now looking forward to whatever 2025 may bring.
This year I will be choosing an inspirational woman with a birthday in that month at the start of each newsletter. There are a lot to choose from and I will try my best to find good examples.
Our December meeting was great fun-thank you to the choir, the string quartet and Angela for entertaining us, and to the committee for organising the evening which included the reindeer game. This caused a lot of hilarity, and a wide range of interesting looking reindeer, and so helped us all get into the mood for Christmas.
Our Treasurer Deborah has decided she would like someone to take over the role in November-she has already held it for two years more than she intended. So if there is anybody who would be interested in taking over please speak to either Deborah or anyone on the committee. This would allow a volunteer plenty of time to learn from Deborah what the role entails. The WI do organise training for treasurers so you would not be on your own.
The January meeting is a craft session and there will also be a brief discussion on the proposed resolutions. I look forward to seeing you there.
Best wishes
Kate

IMPORTANT NOTICE-Register and Evacuation Procedure-It is important that you sign in BEFORE finding a seat at the beginning of the meeting. This is for your safety as, if we have missed adding you to the register and we have to evacuate the building, we will not have an accurate record of who is in attendance. This also applies if you arrive late or leave the meeting early. Please let Linda McD. know or Sally in Linda’s absence. Our evacuation meeting point is on the field opposite the car park entrance.
